Life Transitions

Change is hard

Life is filled with many periods of major transition and change: Family Changes, Career Changes, Relationship Changes, Health Changes, Identity Changes. Change is almost a constant in our lives.

Finding ways to cope with the challenges of change can be overwhelming. Wouldn't it be great to have someone supporting you through some of these difficult transitions?

Although I am able to support you through a wide variety of life transitions, I often specialize in the following types of transition:

Quarter Life Crisis: That period of time somewhere around your mid 20's where you start to wonder "what now?" in terms of career, relationships, self identity, and your future.

Motherhood Transitions: There are many transitions we go through during our role as Moms. Transitioning into the role of mommy can be a challenge, to say the least. In my practice, I see many women who are struggling with how to find balance, meaning, and themselves again after bringing home their baby - everything from Baby Blues to Post-partum depression. I also see a similar transition when children begin school and then again when they graduate from school, leaving mothers to wonder once again "who am I now?"

Retirement: Many people look to their retirement years as a period of fun, relaxation, and freedom. It turns out that for many people, the transition into retirement can be a challenge. Afterall, going from working full time for most of your adult life to suddenly not having that responsibility is a huge change, even if it is a welcomed one.

Adjustment to Illness: Losing our health can be one of the greatest challenges we face as adults. Sometimes we need someone that can
